Today we are launching the API in test mode. The queries are pretty slow (around 6 second mark) because of an indexing issue. I'm still working on it.
Currently the API is limited to /r/jokes subreddit only. This is because people affected by resurrection of content from Pushshift dumps have not had the chance to file removal requests yet. /r/jokes was chosen it is a long standing subreddit with lots of text keywords, and yet it is extremely unlikely to contain problematic content.
